1. Gravel – Explorer to Castiglione Messer Raimondo
Distance: ± 34.3 km | Difficulty: medium | Highlights: Medieval village of Appignano, hills, shepherd's trails
Description:
  • Start at Villa Ferranti
  • Head towards Montefino village but take the gravel road before you get there
  • Ride towards the medieval village of Appignano
  • Then take the gravel road towards Castiglione Messer Raimondo
  • Climb to Castiglione with another beautiful view
  • Then back towards Villa Ferranti or continue on....

2. Gravel – Day trip climbing route in the mountains from Farindola to Campo Imperatore

Distance: ± 23.3 km | Difficulty: hard | Highlights: Farindola, Campo Imperatore, epic climb, national parks
Description:
  • Go to Farindola by car and start here
  • Take the SP8 and climb via the switchbacks to Campo Imperatore
  • Long climb to Rigopiano
  • Continue to Campo Imperatore
  • Lunch on the Campo at BBQ restaurant Mucchiante
  • Same way back

3. Gravel – Hilly tour to Penne

Description:
  • Start at Villa Ferranti
  • Descent towards Montefino and Piane Castiglione
  • Continue riding towards Penne
  • Long road with many turns and elevation changes to Penne
  • Panoramic vistas and ridge
  • Arrival in Penne and nice lunch spots
  • Back to Montefino via panoramic ridge

1. Road – Atri & coast ride pine forest
Distance: ± 77.6 km | Difficulty: hard | Highlights: quiet roads, short climbs, pine trees, Adriatic Sea
Description:
  • Start at Villa Ferranti
  • Beautiful climb towards Atri via gravel road
  • Then descend to the beach of Pineto
  • Stop at the Cerrano tower and continue along the coast
  • Back towards Mutignano via gravel or asphalt

  • Ride to the coast of Pineto
  • Via the coast along the river and hills of Casoli with offroad tracks back
